DECORATING WITH BUOYS

Hello friends:

Thanks for your comments, I see a lot of you like the beach theme decorating as much as I do, after all it is hot, and it is time to go out on the boats, and swimming, eat ice cream, lobsters, clams, and good fish dinners.

Today I would like to share one of my favorite summer hot items "bouys"  I see I'm not alone, I'm working on one that I found on the beach, it needs some tlc.
Here is the inspiration:

Antique Authentic Wooden Lobster Trap Buoys
These are from a store called "Nautical Salvage"
"The PalabraShop" in Maine sells these kind, wood ones are more expensive than foam ones.

Let me know if you use them in your home, deck, or yard. we all have different ideas. I think
most people decorate according to the season, holiday, etc. I don't tend to change my furniture, I don't move it around much, I see in blogland that most people do a lot of changes, even the entire room.  My neighbor is a nurse in a big hospital in Boston, she is getting a new kitchen, after 20 years of owning her home. I went in there to take a pick, and there were 5 men working on the kitchen, I thought WOW this is my way of redoing a room, family room, kitchen, bathroom. I couldn't imagine doing such a job by ourselves.  I am amazed at some of the bloggers, they take apart a room, and totally redoit.  Kudos to you ladies, you are amazing.

Back to decorating, this is my thing, I'm almost done with my oars and buoys, pictures coming.

see you all tomorow

Decorating with Paddles and Oars

Hello my friends:  I'm so glad you are visiting me, how was your 4th. hope you enjoyed family and good food, including fireworks.
Here in Boston we enjoyed the family, barbecue, marshmellows, pies, and the Boston Pops, and of course the sing along, and the fireworks.
It was a night to remember, makes you feel proud of our troops, and America.

Back to our routines, I thought today I would give my old paddles and oars a fresh coat of paint.  But before that I needed a bit of inspiration.
Here are some ideas, usually I put my in our family room and study, but I'm thinking bedroom, what do you think. Check the inspiration pictures and tell me in the comments session ( I love to hear from you) give me some new ideas please. I read all comments and I answered them.
